Governance and the 157 Group

This report by the 157 Group on the quality of governance in large successful general FE colleges is very timely. It coincides with a shift in emphasis from centralism towards localism by the main political parties as they head towards a future where trust between the governed and government has to be rebuilt, and where every scarce pound of public funding has to deliver the best value public services possible in difficult economic times.
