As Chair of the157 group I am proud to lead a group of large, highly successful, often urban colleges who are committed to using their collective influence and expertise to play a transformative role in the Further Education and Skills landscape.

FE Colleges are key to transforming the lives of individuals, play a critical role in their local communities, work to deliver on business needs and play a key role in delivering the education and skills provision that will ensure the United Kingdom remains globally competitive.

The 157 Group works across government to influence formulation on policy related to our skills role and related mission. Together we act as a peer review network to strive for continuous improvement and disseminate excellent practice across the sector as a whole. We are committed to raising the profile and reputation of the FE sector and work proactively to improve the wider understanding of our offer.
