Spa and UCAS invitation to Admissions and Recruitment: Planning for 2011 and beyond

3rd August 2010

Admissions and Recruitment: Planning for 2011 and beyond
(hosted jointly by SPA and UCAS)

Tuesday 28 September 2010
The Met Hotel, Leeds

SPA and UCAS are pleased to invite you to a joint conference entitled: Admissions and Recruitment: Planning for 2011 and beyond.
With applications to HE continuing to be buoyant against a backdrop of the recession, tighter fiscal controls from funding bodies and within institutions throughout the UK; constraints on full time undergraduate numbers and the need for institutions to seek additional funding streams, the management and planning for the undergraduate intake in 2011 is a crucial part of every institution's strategy.

This conference for Higher Education admissions and recruitment managers, senior admissions practitioners, planning managers, operations managers, systems development and support managers has been designed by SPA and UCAS in response to HE sector demand.  It will provide a participative and interactive forum enabling institutions to discuss the key issues and challenges in planning admissions to HE and will facilitate the construction of an action plan to assist institutions in managing and planning admissions in 2011.

We appreciate that the 28 September will be during the enrolment period for many institutions.  However, we are aware that institutions are considering changing and enhancing their operational and process management for 2011 and therefore believe that this event should take place before decision-making and planning begin in earnest for 2011.

The event is subsidised at a rate of £50 for UCAS member institutions and £75 for other organisations.  We expect demand for this event to be high and therefore priority will be given to member institutions, however we will consider multiple bookings if those registering are from different areas/teams/departments.
For further information including a provisional programme and booking information please visit Admissions and Recruitment: Planning for 2011 and beyond, for any enquiries about the event please do not hesitate to contact Ruth Burchell, Project Officer, SPA or Laura Woodward, UCAS Events Co-ordinator.
